It seems that HTC and Motorola had been the winners during CES in 2011, adding a new platform technology and 4G technology products became CES’ focus, such as HTC’s ThunderBolt and Motorola’s Atrix 4G. But in addition to these flagship products outside, the two big winners had introduced their relatively midrange products to cater to public taste. Here we’ll compare HTC’s EVO Shift 4G and Motorola’s Cliq 2, which do much better? 1.     Appearance. Motorola Cliq 2’s design should more individuation, and HTC EVO Shift 4G appears relative orthodox, Cliq 2 seems a little on the chubby side, but HTC EVO Shift 4G has distinct edges and corners. The big microphone in front of Shift 4G seems better quality. 2.     Keyboard. Every key on Motorola’s keyboard is tightly next to another, this would cause some operate errors, but HTC EVO 4G doesn’t have this trouble because the keys on its keyboard have distance, then the distance between your fingers would increase, and it will be more comfortable during your operation. 3.     Transmission Rate. This one may cause custom’s most concern. With WiMAX enabled, the transmission rate of HTC EVO Shift 4G around 3Mbps and 1Mbps; While with HSPA+ support, Motorola’s Cliq 2 maxed at 2.6 Mbps and down 1.4Mbps up. There’s no big difference between them. 4.     Name. This is just my personal view, the name of HTC EVO sounds like a high-end phone, and everyone knows Motorola’s Cliq phones are low-end phone, name of phone is not a big question but this may affect people’s first impression. All in all, take appearance and keyboard and name into consideration, HTC EVO Shift 4G may temporary win victory. But which one woule be more popular in the futuer? Let time proves!
